Future Scientists & Lab Littles Classes!

We are so excited to welcome the next generation of dance into the Lab this fall!

Lab Littles (5-7 year old) - Class offerings listed below

  • Ballet will be offered on Tuesdays 5:45-6:45pm!

  • Jazz Technique will be offered on Tuesdays 6:45-7:45pm!

Future Scientists (8-11 year old) - Class offerings listed below

  • Ballet will be offered on Mondays 7:00-8:00!

  • Jazz Tech / Turns & Leaps will be offered on Thursdays 6:30-8pm!

LAB 101 – 60 minutes

Stretch, Strength & Conditioning

Essential to your daily practice. Full body warm up with a focus on core, uniform muscle activation. Complete deep stretch, stability and balance drills geared to lock in full body control and enhanced flexibility. To maximize your training we suggest you take advantage of all stretch, strength and conditioning classes prior to you evening class blocks!

Class is open to students at any level ages 10 and up!

LAB 102 – 60 minutes

Leaps / Turns & Ballet Core

Technical center barre warm up with focus on turn out, hip alignment, proper plie and port de bras engagement. Introduce and fine tune advanced turn and jump/leap skills. Focus on Dance Team jazz essentials - pirouettes, turns in second with varying speeds, leg / arm positions, spot changes, floats, etc., switch leap skills, progressing into advancing skills such as 540s, flying squirrels and so much more!

Elite Session - geared toward 8th grade and up

Foundational Session - geared toward 5th grade and up (students may be moved up based on skill level)

LAB 103 – 60 minutes

Pom & Power Dynamics

Full body pom technique, utilizing bands, weights and more to fire up core, back and glutes to unleash power in correct placement and movement. Pom skills incorporated (toe touches, pikes, herky, discs, etc. Pom turn arms & combos).

LAB 104 – 60 minutes

Acro for Athletes

A customizable class that offers a complete warm up to prepare your body for acrobatic movement. Making sure acro basics are strong and technically correct, this class is aimed to amplify your ability to advance skills, connect skills and keep up with industry demands. Take flight in the ever-changing world of acro!

Dance Lab is an Acrobatic Arts certified studio! This certification is important for safety, advancing proper techniques and keeping up with industry demand.

College Dance Team Prep

It’s what you do to prepare for your future that matters! Take your training to the next level as you learn collegiate gameday essentials, drill audition skills, emulate your favorite dance team technique combos and so much more! At Dance Lab, we want to customize your experience for your individual goals for YOUR FUTURE! Take the stress out of the prep work and let us collaborate together! Class is open to 8th grade and up.

LAB 106 – 60 minutes

Mind. Body. Dance.

Your time to look inward. You should feel connected to dance at a deep level. Beginning with setting an intention while integrating Vinyasa Yoga practice, you will continue class with a strong focus on emotional improvisation. The purpose of this class is to cultivate your lasting connection to dance and take the pressure off. You are sure to feel refreshed after this class! Most classes end with a combo and cool down!


LAB 108 – 60 minutes

Progressing Ballet Technique

Elevate your dance technique with Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), a groundbreaking body conditioning and strengthening program meticulously crafted to enhance proficiency across not only all dance forms but also in the realms of yoga and Pilates. PBT is also utilized by sports physiotherapists for effective rehabilitation. PBT is not just about skill acquisition; it's a vital tool for injury prevention and rehabilitation, benefiting both athletes and dancers. Overcoming the challenge of recognizing muscles for proper alignment, PBT utilizes an exercise ball to instill a strong sense of posture and weight placement, influencing improved performance in dance and athletics.

Dance Lab is an PBT certified studio!

30, 45 or 60 minutes

Private Lessons

Whether you are looking to fine tune a single skill, turn set or you need help cleaning a solo or preparing for an audition, private lessons are a great way to push your boundaries with one-on-one attention. One 45-minute private lesson (per month) is included with all Unlimited Memberships!

CLASS
POLICIES

  • Time management is important in the Lab. Please be at least 5 minutes early to your class so we can all get started on time. We understand, things happen, if you have to be late, please make sure you do not distract the class in progress and quietly come in and get at it!

  • Be you! If you can move in it, then it’s ok! We believe confidence is
    key, and if you don’t feel your best in it – how can you dance your
    best?

    All we ask is that you have the proper shoes for your class.

    Pirouettes/turners, foot undeez, jazz shoes for turns for most of our
    classes. Bare feet are acceptable for acro.

  • Please keep your phone on silent and put away in your bag. We do not
    want to be distracted during class.
